From humble beginnings in 1990 where we began providing replacement lamps to commercial enterprises, today we are respected across the lighting industry for the supply of quality VIBE Lighting products. With forty-five plus professional Lighting Consultants, ANL Lighting pride themselves on their extensive product knowledge, sourcing energy efficient, quality products for each client. With a growing demand for project-based solutions, ANL Lighting have a dedicated Project Department to assist clients, tailoring specific solutions to individual needs. Our Production Team offer custom designed fittings, where an ‘off the shelf’ product may not be suitable.

EDUCATION

The Illuminating Engineering Society of Australia & New Zealand (IES) is committed to the art & science of lighting, as well as the education & promotion of lighting professionals. We understand the importance of continuous education in providing professional solutions to our clients.
 
Through our corporate membership, we are able to educate our qualified staff through in-house training, nationally accredited & industry-leading educational courses and stay abreast of the latest in lighting technology as well as emerging trends.

SUSTAINABILITY & ENVIRONMENTAL MANAGEMENT


We are working with Government and Industry to achieve sustainable packaging through material reduction, design, targeted recycling rates, reduced waste to landfill, alternative materials and circular economy activities.

We are a member of the Australian Packaging Covenant Organization Ltd (APCO) and are rolling out the ARL (Australian Recycling Label) recycling icons on all our VIBE Lighting products. These icons provide clear consistent on-pack recycling information to inform our consumers of the correct disposal method – thus removing confusion, educating and reducing waste.

We use the Packaging Recyclability Evaluation Portal (PREP), an online platform organisations are able to use to verify if our packaging is or isn’t recyclable in Australian and New Zealand curbside collections. When it comes to packaging, even the smallest details can have an impact on recyclability, including the packaging shape, size, weight, inks, adhesives and the materials used. For every item of packaging, PREP considers all these factors, as well as the availability of collection services, how the packaging will behave in a Materials Recovery Facility (MRF) and in subsequent processing facilities, such as paper mills and aluminum smelters.

Our suppliers hold surplus stock of older VIBE packaging. As packaging is refreshed for ongoing lines of stock and new products are ordered we are discussing alternative sustainable packaging options & providing updated on-pack labelling & artwork for printing.

Our primary focus on Environmental Management is in these core areas of our business:

We pride ourselves on the environmentally sound practice of utilizing recycling technology to minimize waste through Ecocycle. This includes fluro tubes, globes, lamps, light fittings and fixtures, batteries & e-waste.
Printer Ink Cartridges are recycled through Planet Ark. Dedicated cardboard bins ensure that cardboard is collected & sent for recycling though Premier Waste.
Office paper is shredded and goes to the warehouse to be used in packing. Boxes received are saved & reused for outgoing deliveries. We are currently looking into more environmentally sound options to reduce our use of both shrink wrap & bubble wrap.
There is signage on all onsite bins. All metal products are sent to Knox Metal Recyclers.
We continue to educate our clients & staff on the importance of sustainable practices through email, social media, in-house training and signage.
